Getting Approved for 3rd Party Affiliate Links
In this article we will discuss tips to help you get approved for affiliate programs on the 3rd party offers promoted in the IIS marketplace.
Swapping links for 3rd party products is a revolutionary new feature that you won't find in another affiliate marketing systems, so it may take a little bit of learning to get just right.
In this article, let's talk about signing up for affiliate programs and getting approved so that you can get your affiliate link to swap and save inside of IIS.
Affiliate Networks vs. Affiliate Programs
The first thing to understand is the difference between affiliate networks (ie; Clickbank, Shareasale, Partnerstack, JVzoo, Impact, etc), and the actual affiliate programs (Shopify, Highlevel, Clickfunnels, etc).
Your goal is to get approved for an affiliate offer so that you can swap your link. But most of these 3rd party offers will redirect you to the affiliate network that is managing their affiliate program. So you will need to create an account with that network first, and then apply for the affiliate program.
Understanding this is important, because if you want to increase your chance of getting approved for offers, then you want to take your time to properly setup your account at each major affiliate network, because this is what the vendors look at before approving you.
Example Affiliate Network: PartnerStack
Creating a Good Profile on Affiliate Networks
The most important thing is to provide as much information as possible about you and your audience so that vendors can quickly approve you and give you a link.
But, at the same time, don't give them any information that would cause them to decline you for their affiliate program. For example, you might be a beginner affiliate marketer who has never made money online, but you wouldn't want to lead with that, as many of them would reject your application. Make sense?
Be detailed, be thorough, but also keep in mind that your goal is to be accepted, so you will need to present yourself as someone that they should accept for their program.
You're Not Just an Affiliate, You're a Business Owner
This part is extremely important. IIS is letting you use the Super Link system to manage your own business, and you keep all the commissions earned from the 3rd party links that you swap.
It's literally your own business. IIS is just a software platform to help you manage it, help you automate it, help you structure it, and help you promote it effectively. But at the end of the day you are in business for yourself, and you need to come across this way when you fill out the applications.
You cannot say that you work for IIS, or that you are an IIS affiliate. In fact, you'll have better chances of getting approved if you present yourself as your own business. From time to time, IIS may work deals with the affiliate managers as these programs, in which case they may give us a code or a keyword or special way to get approved quickly when we submit applications. But your default should be to operate as your own independent affiliate marketing business just looking to get approved for a link.
What Information will the Networks Ask For?
Each affiliate network (and even individual affiliate offers) will vary in the information that they like to collect from affiliates before approving them. But we will cover some essentials here.
The first and most common thing will be information about your audience, and what types of products or services you like to promote. Generally we try to stick to categories related to digital marketing, affiliate marketing, and tools that are business to consumer (b2c).
On top of this they will often ask for your social media profiles, website links, and sometimes even privacy policy, terms and conditions, etc. So let's discuss this a bit.
One of the reasons that we teach our members how to create faceless account using OPC, is because these accounts also create credibility in the eyes of affiliate networks and offers, because they want access to to thousands of people that you have built in your audience, and it's easy to connect your social account and validate it for the network.
On top of this, the networks will often ask for a website to review, so if you already have one, then we suggest at least cleaning it up a bit to make it look good for higher acceptance rates.
We recommend using Go High Level (in the IIS marketplace) and using our Affiliate Agency Snapshot to create your own site in just minutes (all within a free trial period). This is the fastest and simplest way for someone to have a professional website that will get approved when submitting for offers. We will also be teaching academies on this specifically, so keep your eyes open in the free courses section of IIS.
Final Tips to Increase Acceptance Rate
Once you have setup your account on an affiliate network, then it's time to start requesting affiliate links from the individual offers on that network, one at a time.
Yes, this can be tedious, so we recommend starting with the most popular offers featured in IIS (such as the offers featured in the Super Link Funnels) but you are free to apply in any order that you want.
Remember, you are only doing this step once for each offer. Once you are approved, you shouldn't ever have to apply again. Do the work once, get paid for months! And years!
After getting approved, be sure to find your affiliate link for that offer and then come back to IIS and swap it out in the link swaps section and hit save. Continue this for as many offers as you can.
REMINDER: In order to get paid from these networks, they will all require you to put your payment info on file. You usually do not need to do this until you have received a commission. So we recommend doing it later after getting approved and swapping links, just don't forget! We also recommend keeping digital notes of the programs that you apply for, and any reminders you have for each one.
